The Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés, founded in 1967, is a leading French association of specialized Experts in various fields of art. Its aim is to provide confidence and reliable advice to collectors, insurance companies and their clients, government departments, fairs and exhibitions, Customs and courts of law. The valuations carried out by its highly competent members are always in compliance with strict quality and authenticity standards. The C.N.E.S. has 150 Expert members, admitted after passing a general and a specialized exam, 62 associate members and 56 honorary and corresponding members.
C.N.E.S. Experts are required to carry a professional civil liability insurance. They are legally accountable for a duration of 30 years. The C.N.E.S. is a nationwide organisation, comprising 9 regional sectors each headed by a regional representative.
