The C.N.E.S. is the only Chamber in France to regularly organise courses in all of its disciplines.
These courses are an opportunity for experts to learn more about disciplines which are not their speciality. The courses are both theoretical and practical, and are usually based on a collection, either institutional and private (as far as possible, everybody will be able to come close to each object and in some cases even touch them and pick some up). Most courses also involve museum curators and are a stage for a series of rich and lively discussions on particular points of detail or disagreement.

These trainings last usually two days and occur several times a year, they are followed diligently by interns as much as by experts.
